I learned something new today. Apparently you can yell at people via email. I was not aware of this. Josh and I have recently been using Ebay. I know that it's been around awhile, but we just are starting to get internet savvy (Josh with his facebook, my blog and now Ebay). We purchased a Quattro Tour Duo Tandem Stroller via Ebay and the
Buy This option, and received it today. The box looks like it had taken a dive from some place very high and when Josh took out the stroller to put it together, the brakes on the left side were completely busted. It did come in its original package and you could tell that it wasn't defective or a knock off (which would be interesting to see someone knock off a Graco stroller of this size ;) maybe made of old pop cans instead of titanium). I'm pretty sure that the damage on the outside of the box shows exactly how the brakes broke. Anyway, I wanted to make sure that the person I got it from corrected this. Afterall, they advertised they were authorized dealers, that the product would be under the normal warranty that Graco offers, etc. Basically, we were purchasing this from a store just on Ebay. So I emailed them and expressed my dissatisfaction with the product they sold me. I didn't feel I was overly rude, I felt I was clear and concise. Josh disagrees. I apparently yelled at them via email. I wrote that I received the stroller today and the brakes were broken. Except I put broken in caps and with a few exclamation points. Apparently that's yelling. Didn't know. My bad. I just wanted to make sure that my point was clear and my problem was fixed. A few other words were given the high honor of all caps (I was tasteful with my wording, I was that it was unexceptable and I wanted this problem resolved. No swearing or anything like that). No sooner than the enter button submitted my comment to them, the phone rings, and California wants to talk to Mr. Josh Petroff. Needless to say, they are sending us a new one and replacing the old one. Talk about fast service. I will definitely be writing good feedback for them when this is all said and done. And for those of you who are like, "was it worth that?" Trust me, it was. $249 on Ebay for a stroller that weighs over 50 pounds and the only thing that prevents it from rolling into traffic are you and a pair of brakes, you want to make sure that the product is working for those rare moments that you aren't superglued to the handlebars. ;)
