Baby Monitor Freakout!

Ok, So Josh and I purchased this video monitor thinking it's the best thing since sliced bread. That is, until I watch on the news that anyone can pick up the video feed. We turn off the handheld, but not the actual monitor on our son. Great, now I have to worry about perverts and robbers watching my boy and hearing our convos. Just when you think society can't get any more low, the ground gets dug out from under 'em. Guess I'm turning off both from now on.

Keeping Busy

I have been beyond busy with school and the boys. Gabriel is talking up a storm, even though half of what he says usually has missing (or cleverly added) sounds in them. Dump Truck is still the fun one to get him to say. But I was completely blown away when I realized how much he was listening to mommy. I read to him a book every evening and he absolutely loved this book about how Duck and Goose find a pumpkin. The first few pages are real simple. Just a quick, cute little sentence. But before I know it, I'm opening the book to read to my big man and he's reading it to me!

Mommy, "Nice..."
Gabe interrupting, "Nice Pumpkin Thistle. Yes it is. I want a Pumpkin too!"

LOVE IT! And he had the most adorable little guy voice. Such a big man he's becoming. And Gavin, yeah, that one is interesting. He's got 6 teeth now, and he's going on 18. Mr. Independent all the way. But he's very much a mama's boy. Guess I'll have a son in the house even after graduation. :)

With school coming to an end (this semester almost kicked my butt, but I managed. :) ), I am happy to say that I'll be enjoying my kiddos even more without having to squeeze in an hour online lecture or an evening class over a concept that I've already learned about twice. Guess that will just make me a pretty effective teacher (or a burned out one).

AAAhhhhh, the holidays! I want to put scented pine cones everywhere (dang Josh and his "sensitive nostrils") and drink pumpkin spice lattes all day long (I'll be bouncin' off the walls with my boys). Alas, we still have a birthday to plan for Gavinators .... ideas?
