Gabriel Proofing

We use to have a gate that seperated the kitchen from the diningroom. But since we are expecting a little sibling for misters this Christmas, I could keep "almost" falling if I didn't catch myself correctly on the other side. So Josh baby proofed the kitchen and we took down the gate. Gabriel even got his own drawer. He absolutely loves it. More than most his toys, actually. It's cute because he'll come running around the corner with a rubber spatula and spoon in either hand and banging them together like their little instruments. I wonder if we could have saved money on his toys by just getting him some more kitchen items. Maybe for Christmas.

A Nice Surprise for Misters (Daddy too;) )

Josh's mom and sister came up this past week to visit. It was really nice to see them, especially for the boy. Gabriel had never met Victoria or Deja, so I knew this was going to be interesting. See, he's the first impression type. I've only ever see him like someone immediately, or not at all. Those unfortunates that fall in the latter category haven't moved as far as I know. So I was a little worried about that. But I didn't need to be. He totally loved them, playing around on the couch with Deja and making cute little faces. He even bent over and was looking at Victoria upside down when she first arrived. Josh usually plays that with him (he's wanting you to finish the sommersault), but it was like, "You're Daddy's mommy, so you'll know what to do!" So cute! And, BONUS, didn't have to cook at all! Josh got his classic spagetti dish curtiousy of the fam. It's nice to not have to worry about stuff like that. I almost didn't know what to do with myself. And somehow, Josh still finished up with the dishes. It was like a little vacation for mommy, and I'll take it.

Gabe's Little Message

Josh and I are expecting December 23rd. Gabriel will be around 21 months, which is good because we both said we wanted our children two years apart. We bought him this shirt on cafepress.com and it's just totally adorable.

Feeding the Squirrels

Gabriel and I went to the store and purchased a bird/squirrel feeder to feed our backyard friends. Josh wasn't too happy because they were already making a meal with our patio furniture. They kept taking the stuffing and using it in their beds. I didn't stop them, but Josh is determined to get a bb gun. So Gabe and I got them something to hopefully deter them. We'll let you know if it worked.
